At the beginning, I was not sure which fruit I will taste first: the raspberry ? the lychee ? What a delight it was to discover that it was both : the lychee leaves a subtle taste without hiding the delicate raspberry... A very nice smoothie to celebrate the coming autumn.

Hou la la, Capri is definitely made for me, I certainly have lived there in a previous life! I felt so comfortable, so happy and so reconnect with myself in a way that it is the only explanation I can come with... In addition with my adoration with Ancient Roman culture and a famous Tiberius... I am going to propose you from time to time, a culinary exploration of caprian pasta terribly good and very easy to realise, enjoyable by all the family! I begin with the most very simple dish, fresh and lovely as a starter for example... Only with pomodoro (tomatoes) and basilico (basil). You will see this yummy chiummenzana recipe absolutely everywhere in good restaurants and the best had been eaten at the Fontelina in front of the Faraglioni... This pasta was a match made in heaven for my son who is not keen at all on Mozzarella even though the Mozzarella di buffala direct from Napoli is definitely to die for ! With the freshest and finest ingredients, this pasta recipe can be a real gastro feast, la ricetta perfetta!
Nota : I advise you to use fresh pasta you can buy at the fresh department of your deli or supermarkets. First it is tastier and all my Italians friends are using them. Second, it cooks in 5 minutes only, impeccable for an easy-peasy dish!

I think that this year, I have done the most of the greengages season as they were so yummy! I did this soup in France with my friends when the sun gently changed as we were ending the lovely month of August... Do not hesitate to change the fruits if you cannot find greengages. It works perfectly well with red or yellow plums actually!

Oh my God! I love so much salted crumble, it is nearly an institution in my family. Easy to do and so tasty, it is a winner in no time whatever you wish to cook : fish, meat, fruits or even cheese! Even if you are a little bit reluctant to sweet and sour taste, you will adopt this lovely recipe after a few mouthful! Perfect for the whole family.

In France, we do like a good saucisson. In Lyon (the centre of France), you can find delicacies like the "Rosette de Lyon", a 30 days cured dry sausage. It is to die for. In Savoie (where the French Alps are), you can find saucissons and dry sausages at any perfume : hazelnut, Roquefort, blackcurrant etc... The Diot is a specialty there : a dry sausage seasoned with nutmeg.... Hum, yummy...Not to mention Corsica and their amazing saucissons from pork Nustrale (black pig), a marvel... Bref, in France saucissons are eaten differently depending on the area.
In London, you can find some "Rosette de Lyon" and nice French saucisson as well.
Comté is a raw milk cheese, cooked and pressed. It is made in Jura (France). Montbeliarde cows and French Simmental breeds are the only ones authorized for the production of Comté cheese... It is made by hand only and has to mature for a minimum of 4 months. Personally, my daughter and I do prefer it when it is 36 months matured. It has an AOC.

Somen are Japanese rice pasta. Those pasta are very thin and white. Eaten cold, they are an absolute delight... This wonderfully quick salad to prepare is very well balanced. You can find now quite easily the Ume su used in this recipe. Ume su is very popular in Japanese dishes. It is a plum paste employs to season a little bit like vinegar. Be careful though, as it is very salty!


Wine pairing : Vin de Mourvèdre (Red) from Languedoc-Roussillon.
